FEATURE ARTISTS – TRIBUTE TO THE GROUP OF PERENNIAL PLATE AND RETROSPECTIVE OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT
Every year the special tribute AICFF entitled AICFF FEATURE ARTISTS, we display the work of selected artists who inspire us with stories and images that make up our traveling cultures of the world culture of taste. As AICFF FEATURE ARTISTS 2015 chose team Perennial Plate for years traveling to various parts of the world to record, save and narrate in a unique way, inspiring stories of our global culinary heritage. This year’s tribute to our team Perennial Plate includes 20 selected short documentary first in Europe view that you created in their travels to various parts of the world.
The chef and activist Daniel Klein and director Mirra Fine traveling around the world, exploring the beauty, complexity and history behind the increasingly connected global food system. The Klein Fine and traveling in China, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Spain, Morocco, Italy, Turkey, Argentina, Mexico, South Africa and Ethiopia to us narrate stories of the true food and the people who do.

In Gujarat we spent two days with the Save, the confusingly called the Ganhdi of Indian agriculture. After we visited his family, knowing their lifestyle, enjoying the food graciously offered us. The pacifist philosophy inspired us to synthesize a visual poem.

A short film about comradely production in the jungles of northern Argentina, through the eyes of Alex Pryor and Guayakí. The mate is a caffeinated beverage prepared leaving parched leaves of Yerba mate in hot water. Traditionally mate served with a metal straw through one gourd and drunk in friendly or family sygkentroseis.Einai the national drink of Uruguay and Argentina. The Guarani and Quechua peoples of the region drink this extract from pre-Columbian times. Today the tropical forests of the region are threatened by extinction and one of the reasons considered intensive production. Unlike most coffee-growing areas in the world, Ethiopia people who grow coffee, keep the privilege of enjoying the fruit of their labor. For some time Ethiopia is considered the birthplace of the popular drink and considered that perhaps produce the best quality in the world. This short film is a love song for the coffee, the exhaustive work required for its production and the importance of small fields and cooperation in this process.
